Susan Hunter, PTA
Susan has returned to the physical therapy field after taking time off to focus on her family.
Susan holds a BS in Kinesiology from Shenandoah University and an AS in Physical Therapy Assistant from Northern Virginia Community College. She also studied massage therapy at the American Institute of Massage in Richmond and worked in that field while she and her husband lived in Kentucky.
She is excited to continue to grow and learn new things in the outpatient field; she is also eager to use her current knowledge of physical therapy and soft tissue mobilization to help people with diverse orthopedic and neurological diagnoses live in their bodies the best they can, unhindered by pain. Susan’s favorite part of physical therapy is knowing that she is helping people recover from injury and live their best lives while using her passion for anatomy and physiology.
Susan lives in Toano with her husband and two children. When she has spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, reading, pottery, and going for walks with her family.
